Boilerplate

StrokeInk is a smart golf scorecard built around a 3.52-inch e-ink display, five tactile buttons, and Bluetooth sync. It clips to a golf cart's steering wheel — exactly where the paper scorecard goes — and replaces it with a sunlight-readable display that runs for weeks on a single charge.

Where existing golf-tracking products demand attention during the round, StrokeInk is designed to disappear into the background. Players score with a single tap, hole by hole, with no phone in their bag. After the round, the device syncs to the companion app for full analytics, handicap tracking, and social sharing.

StrokeInk is built by golfers with over four decades of on-course experience across amateur and professional tournaments. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company is currently accepting waitlist signups ahead of its Spring 2026 launch.

Key messages

"The paper scorecard has worked for a century. Phone-based trackers ruin the round they're meant to track. We built the middle ground."
— Fred Brocher, Founder
"E-ink. Five buttons. Months of battery. Designed to disappear while you play."
— StrokeInk product description
"Score with the device. Share with the phone. Open the app after the round — never during."
— StrokeInk core principle
